I'm curious, if I asked you to finish the sentence- "There are 2 kinds of people in the world: ____" and you could only choose one answer, what would it be?
I'm still thinking about my answer too. I have been clicking back on this post periodically to see if anyone has said anything brilliant yet, so that mine could just disappear, but I feel someone should give you an answer (and keep you wanting to write since I selfishly love to read).
There are two kinds of people in the world: people who choose to see the glass as half-full and people who choose to see it as half-empty. I believe that can make a lot of difference.
i so appreciate you carrie. i've been stagnant with my writing lately, so having even one response is encouraging :)
the answers I've been tossing around would be:
*Those that understand and respect their mortality, and those that do not.
*Those that do, and those that talk.
*Those that live defensively, and those that live offensively in the service of their beliefs.
*Those that are always waiting for better conditions, and those that don't give a shit what the conditions are- they get on with their purpose regardless.
Just passin by- this is probably silly and lame, but do I know you? because if i don't, i can't tell you how good it feels to have 1 tiny little comment from someone that i don't know reading my writing.
Hey Tobin, sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm afraid you do know me. Lucky for me, unlucky for you, I guess. And it's probably a pretty easy guess who I am!
